Valentine’s
Day is right here, so today I show you a pretty card to do.
It
is very simple and easy, but it makes a beautiful gift.
You
need some heavy paper cards.
If
you like stationary stores, check for special papers
just
thinking of this.
Then
cut them at the size you desire.
Mine
are 5,5 x 4 inches (12 x 15 cm.)
You
will need some colourful fabric scraps too.
(Yes,
I love red for this, classic me…)
But Kaffe Fassett has those wonderful reds and purples... !
But Kaffe Fassett has those wonderful reds and purples... !
You
will cut some hearts from them, to sew in the cards.
You
can make an acetate pattern,
if
you want to make several of them.
It
might be a good idea to make some cards for your friends,
so
they can give them to their beloved ones.
If
you have a firm hand, dare to draw the heart right in the fabric.
Then
cut them with care.
Add
a few dots of glue, just to fix them
in the card, so you can sew them easily.
Change
the needle in your sewing machine by an older one
and
keep it just for sewing paper.
Other
way it can damage the next fabric you want to sew…
Choose
the lowest rate, so you can sew slowly,
taking
control of the curves. Stitch near the edge of the fabric.
You
can use a thread in the same colour or a contrasting one.
Even
in the spool, because the back of the card will be
in sight
and can be funny to see the contrasting stitching.
That
easy is to make these beautiful cards!
And
now you can write your message and some free love gifts.
I’ll
give to my kids their favourite dessert, a feet massage…
Leave
a comment with your own ideas of a love gift!
